How Can I Sort Photos in the Gallery?

The Photos tab in your gallery allows you to adjust the order of images using various sorting methods, including by date, filename, upload time, random sorting, and manual drag-and-drop. By default, images are sorted by date captured upon upload.

Sorting All Photos by Date, Filename, Upload Time, or Random Order

1. Open your gallery and go to the Photos tab and click Sort to select one of the following options:
   • Date Captured (ascending)
   • Filename (ascending)
   • Upload Time (ascending)
   • Date Captured (Reverse)
   • Filename (Reverse)
   • Upload Time (Reverse)
   • Random
     
2. Click OK to apply the sorting to all images in the gallery.
   

Sorting Photos Within a Specific Scene

1. In the Photos tab, locate the scene you want to sort.
2. Click the three dots next to the scene name.
3. Select Sort Collection and choose your preferred sorting option.
   

Setting the Default Sorting Option for Future Galleries

1. Navigate to Settings from the Main Dashboard.
   
2. Under Gallery Defaults, find Default Photos Sort Type and select your preferred sorting option.
   
3. All future galleries will use this sorting mode by default, but you can still customize sorting per gallery in the Photos tab.
   

Manually Dragging Photos

1. Open your gallery and go to the Photos tab.
   
2. Click and hold the photo(s) you want to move and drag the photo(s) to the desired position within the scene.
   
   
   
3. To select a range of photos, hold down the Shift key, click the first image, then click the last image to move all selected photos together.

Managing Photos in a Gallery

Move Photos to a Different Scene

1. Select the photos you want to move.
2. Click Manage Photos and choose Move to Scene.
3. Select the scene where you want the photos to be moved.
   

Set Photos as Highlights

1. Select the photos you want to feature as highlights.
2. Click Manage Photos and choose Set as Highlights.
   
3. A Highlights scene will be created at the top of the gallery. If a highlights scene already exists, the selected photos will be added to it.
   

Note: The Highlights scene only contains previews of the images. The original photos are not duplicated, ensuring that gallery downloads remain free of duplicate files.

Removing Photos from the Highlights Scene

1. Select the image(s) in the Highlights scene.
2. Click Manage Photos and choose Remove from Highlights.
   

Set a Photo as the Gallery Cover

1. Select the photo you want to use as the cover image.
2. Click Manage Photos and choose Set as Cover.
   

Deleting Photos from a Gallery

1. Select the photos and click Delete.
   
2. Click Delete and confirm by selecting Yes.
   

Important: Deleting images may impact slideshows, blogs, and pending orders. Always double-check before removing images permanently.
