When downloading and installing the Pass Uploader App, your computer’s security system may block the connection, prompting you to adjust your firewall or anti-virus settings. Here’s how to modify these settings to allow Pass access.
Adjusting Anti-Virus Settings
To ensure the Pass Uploader App works properly, you may need to either disable your anti-virus software temporarily or adjust its settings to allow the Pass connection. Configuring the Firewall
On a Mac:
- Click the Apple Icon in the upper left corner and open System Preferences.
- Go to Security & Privacy.
- Click the Lock Icon in the bottom left corner and enter your credentials to make changes.
- Either turn off the firewall or click on Firewall Options and add the Pass Uploader to the list of allowed connections.
On Windows:
- Click the Start button and go to the search bar and type Firewall.
- Select Windows Defender Firewall.
- Navigate to Windows Security and click on Turn Windows Defender Firewall on or off.
- Choose your active network, then either Turn off the firewall or Turn on the Pass App through the firewall.
