# How to Set an Expiration Date for Your Client Galleries

## You can set an expiration date for your Client Galleries to automatically change their status to Offline after a certain period. While the gallery will still be stored in your account, it will no longer be accessible to clients.

This guide will show you how to:

- **Manually set an expiration date**
- **Use the Gallery Expiration App**
- **Work with Marketing Automation Apps**

#### **Setting Expiration in the Gallery Setup Tab**

1️⃣ **Go to the Settings tab** in your gallery and check the **"Expire Gallery" box.**

**2️⃣ Choose an expiration date and time.**

**Note:** Expiration times may have a delay of up to **20 minutes**.

**3️⃣ Your expiration date** will now appear in the Gallery Setup tab. You can adjust it at any time through the **Settings button**.

**4️⃣ Expiration emails** will be sent to the Main Client **7 days, 4 days, and 1 day before expiration.** After expiration, a "Project Expired" email will be sent.

- These emails can be customized in **Settings \> Email Packages**.

**Important:** If a Marketing Automation App is active, its expiration emails will **replace** the system expiration emails.

**5️⃣ Reactivating an expired gallery:**

- If the gallery has already expired, updating the expiration date **won't** automatically put it back online. You must **manually switch it back to Online** in the Gallery Setup tab.

#### **Setting Expiration with the Gallery Expiration App**

The **Gallery Expiration App** lets you:  
✅ **Set an expiration date**  
✅ **Run a sale before expiration** using **banners & emails**

 

**How it Works:**

- If you've already set an expiration date in the **Gallery Setup tab**, the app will use it.
- If you **haven't set a date**, the app will **automatically** set one.

#### **Expiration & Marketing Automation Apps**

Several **Marketing Automation Apps** also support expiration, including:  
✔ **Existing Gallery Backup App**  
✔ **Gallery Expiration App**  
✔ **Gallery to Backup System**

Like with the **Gallery Expiration App**, if you've already set an expiration date in the **Gallery Setup tab**, these apps will follow it. If you haven't, they will **automatically** set one.

 

**Note:** It can take up to **20 minutes** for the gallery to turn **Offline** after the expiration time.
