How Do I Fix the "Pending Payment" Error?

Occasionally, a payment may show as pending and cannot be processed. This error can arise from various factors related to payment methods. This article will cover a few resolutions to help resolve this issue and keep your business running.

Common Scenarios

It's essential to understand common scenarios and resolutions related to the "Pending Payment" error if you experience this issue in your account.

Valid Payment Method

  1. To resolve the "Pending Payment" error, update your payment method by navigating to Settings from your Main Dashboard.
  2. Under Plans & Billing, ensure your payment method is valid, not expired, and has sufficient funds. Click Update Payment Method to make the necessary changes.

Bank Blocking

Another common cause of a "Pending Payment" error may involve your bank. Some banks apply heightened security measures for subscription payments, leading to delays. If this happens, contact your bank to authorize the payment.

For a smoother experience, Pass recommends using PayPal if this issue persists.

Refunds

If Pass collects payments for your store, there might be cases where a "Pending Payment" error occurs even when you don't owe money (e.g., due to discounts).

The likely reason is that one or more previous orders were refunded after you already received your profit payout. When this happens, the system requires you to settle the remaining balance caused by the refund. Until this balance is cleared, the payment may remain in "Pending" status.
